Mewgenics
Mewgenics is an upcoming tactical role-playing game developed by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, combining roguelike and life simulation elements. Breeding cats that take on different character classes and taking them on strategic adventures is the main focus of the game. The project, which Team Meat first announced in 2012 as a sequel to Super Meat Boy, underwent a lengthy development cycle that included cancelation before being repurchased by McMillen and Glaiel in 2018. As of right now, the Steam release date is set for February 10, 2026. Gameplay is divided into two core phases: combat and breeding. Players begin with a team of four cats—such as Hunters, Mages, and Healers—each with unique statistics and mana reserves. Their roles can be further customized by equipping clothing and other items.
