Sonic and the Black Knight
Sonic and the Black Knight is a 2009 platform-action game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. As a spin-off from the main Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, it serves as the second and concluding chapter of the Sonic Storybook series, following Sonic and the Secret Rings (2007). The story follows Sonic as he is summoned into the world of King Arthur’s legend by the sorceress Merlina, who claims they must defeat a corrupted Arthur, now feared as the Black Knight. However, it’s ultimately revealed that Arthur’s corruption was a fabrication, as Merlina secretly aspired to become the Dark Queen in an attempt to rewrite fate and prevent the legend’s destined end. The gameplay blends platforming, action-adventure, and hack-and-slash elements.
