Super Mario World
Super Mario World, originally titled Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan, is a classic platformer released in 1990 by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Developed by Nintendo’s Entertainment Analysis & Development (EAD) division under the direction of Takashi Tezuka and producer Shigeru Miyamoto, the game marked Mario’s debut on the SNES and was designed to showcase the console’s enhanced capabilities. In the game, players guide Mario on a journey to rescue Princess Peach and free Dinosaur Land from the clutches of Bowser and the Koopalings. Building on the core mechanics of previous Super Mario titles, players navigate various stages with the primary goal of reaching the end-of-level flagpole.
